Coal Miner Days
There will be a wide selection of events at this year's Coal Miner Days. Bring the family down for some fun activities at the Rec Centre on Friday night, including a bike rodeo, bounce houses, climbing wall and barbecue. The evening will end with a phenomenal fireworks display put on by the Sparwood Fire Department.
Saturday's activities include a pancake breakfast and parade, and Sunday will bring a brand new event—a youth duathlon for kids two to 12 years old.
Also added to the schedule are a slo-pitch tournament, ball hockey tournament and a poker tournament, to name just a few of the many activities.
Visitors should be aware that some events need to be registered for in advance, so be sure to secure your spot early.
