James Mastaler of Muskoka, Ontario, enjoyed his tour through Western Canada. — Marie Milner photo

Who: James Mastaler from Muskoka, Ontario

Where: Canyon RV Resort at Radium Hot Springs, B.C.

What brings you to the East Kootenay? I’m retired now, and I decided I’d like to see the west half of Canada. This country is breathtaking.

Where are you headed next? I don’t have time to make it to the coast, so I’m headed for Calgary and Jasper.

What’s been the best thing about your trip? The people—everybody has been really welcoming and friendly.
