If you’re visiting Anaheim and you crave a bit of outdoor recreation, try the Oak Canyon Nature Center. This 58-acre park is tucked away in the Anaheim Hills, and consists of three adjoining canyons with a stream that winds its way through the park. The hiking trails allow visitors to see some of the last remaining oak woodland and coastal sage scrub in the region, and there is plenty of native animal and plant life to discover.

While you’re experiencing Oak Canyon Nature Center, you will want to stop by the on-site John J. Collier Interpretive Center. This quaint museum houses live animal and natural history displays, allowing folks of all ages to learn more about Anaheim’s environment. You can also take a short hike around this facility; a perfect trek for those who desire a brief stroll.
