A new campaign launched by Go RVing Canada aims to help Canadians reconnect with their sense of childhood adventure and to encourage all Canadians to tap into their natural-born camper. The Wildhood campaign is focused on helping Canadians rediscover the craving for exploration, adventure, curiosity, kinship and freedom we all knew as children but may have lost in the responsibilities of adulthood.

Somewhere in our modern world we have fallen prey to the idea that shiny gadgets, overscheduled days, video games and a packed schedule are what a happy childhood should have.

“Our goal is to inspire more Canadians to consider the RVing lifestyle and experience,” said Chris Mahony, executive director of Go RVing Canada. “Rather than defining that experience for Canadians, we are bringing to life how RVing is a great way to rediscover their sense of adventure and to spark that curiosity and freedom that can become lost in adulthood.”

The campaign idea, created by ds+p, encourages more Canadians to try RVing and helps to highlight the amazing possibilities the RV lifestyle offers. “Creatively, we wanted to capture how RVing provides that sense of freedom we have lost as adults, and the most powerful way to deliver this is to remind Canadians that this need is even stronger in our children,” said Denise Rossetto, a partner in ds+p. “Our children not only crave this freedom, they need it. Go RVing Canada is a brand that lives up to this promise.”
