2. Mountainview Camping

Mountainview Camping, located three kilometres east of Calgary, offers sites that have water and power hook-ups (from 15-amp to 50-amp), as well as pull-through sites for easy manoeuvring of larger units. The campground offers a daily shuttle service into the city during the Calgary Stampede. All your supplies, including wood, propane and other necessities, can be purchased at the on-site store.

3. Bow Rivers Edge Campground

Located in nearby Cochrane, Bow Rivers Edge Campground offers a little piece of paradise in the form of 144 campsites along the Bow River. The immaculate facility has Wi-Fi, paved roads, full hook-ups, hiking trails and excellent fishing opportunities. There is also a kids splash park and playground, and an off-leash dog park for your four-legged family members.

4. Riverbend Campground

Located in nearby Okotoks, the Riverbend Campground boasts year-round availability (monthly stays only from November 1st to March 31st). Here you will find modern, clean facilities, hot showers, and other convenient amenities—not to mention the activities for kids, which include playgrounds, minigolf, paddle boats and more. You can even buy your wood and propane right on-site.
