Calgary is a hospitable city and a treat to visit, with endless entertainment venues, kid-friendly parks and anything else an RVer could want. Check out these hot spots during your stay.

1) The Calgary Stampede

An internationally renowned event, the Calgary Stampede is known as the "best outdoor show on earth" for good reason. Pro rodeo events, exhibits, vendors and other activities are constantly going on during this festival, and the whole city joins in the celebrations.

2) The Calgary Zoo

Animal lovers must take some time to visit the Calgary Zoo, where there is an extensive variety of animals in enclosures that mimic their natural habitats. Events take place here in all seasons, and there are plenty of programs to take part in. Plan a safari brunch, or tour the botanical gardens for something a little different.

3) Calaway Park

With a campground right on site, Calaway Park is ideal for RVers to bring their families and have a thrilling vacation. There are rides, games, dining, events—you name it, they've got it.

4) The Calgary Tower

At the Calgary Tower you can sit 191 metres above the city. There is local artwork on display, as well as shopping, dining and nightlife in this famous community landmark. For an interesting view, try standing on the glass floor to see a bird's eye view of the city. Free tours are available.

5) Glenbow Museum

Glenbow Museum is an engaging combination of an archive, art gallery and museum, with more than a million artifacts on display.  Whether your interests lie in Western Canadian history, or you want to learn about the world at large, you are sure to enjoy your visit.
