Anyone who has been to Parksville knows that there is plenty to see and do, and geological beauty is one of the main reasons why people are so passionate about this community.

Parksville Beach has a trademark quality originating from the local tides and currents combining with the topography of the ocean floor. All of these factors mean one thing: an incredible place to recreate and relax.

“Few beaches outside Mexico and the Caribbean can compare with the 19 kilometres of near-perfect sand found on Oceanside’s namesake eastern frontier,” said Patti Lee, manager of the Parksville Visitor Centre. “One can walk to the ocean’s gentle edge before wading at ankle-, then knee-deep depth far out towards a distant horizon of islands and rugged mountain ranges.”

During your trip to this famous beach, bring the kids to the Lions Adventure Park. Here there are tennis courts, ball and skateboard parks, a field for flying kites and a covered picnic area, along with other recreational amenities. There are events held here throughout the year as well, so check your calendar and plan for a fun-filled beach vacation.
