1) The West Edmonton Mall

No visit would be complete without taking a few days to explore West Edmonton Mall. Aside from the multitude of stores to peruse, there is a water park, skating rink, nightlife, minigolf, marine attraction and more. Climb aboard a replica of Columbus' ship, the Santa Maria, or see an underground aquarium with sharks, sea turtles, penguins and other charming wildlife.

2) The Edmonton Folk Festival

The fun-loving atmosphere at the Edmonton Folk Festival makes it a popular event for all music fans. Each summer, a selection of talented folk artists come to light up the stage and enthrall their audience.

3) Edmonton Valley Zoo

More than 350 animals are waiting to meet you at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Get up close and personal with these lovable critters, and learn about conservation and animal care. The zoo has been adding some upgrades to further improve the experience for visitors and resident animals alike.

4) Alberta Aviation Museum

If your travel group includes an airplane fanatic, the Alberta Aviation Museum is a must. You can tour the museum and see the third largest aircraft collection in Canada, view relevant exhibits and take part in other educational activities.

5) Citadel Theatre

The Citadel Theatre hosts live theatre of all different genres. See talented performers bring new and classic plays to life before your eyes. Many of the theatre productions raise money for local causes, so you can feel even better about your evening out.
