Come visit the famous stampede

Omak pleases visitors during the summer months with its plentiful fishing oppurtunities, RV parks and its annual Art in the Park.

Another popular event, which happens the second weekend in August each year, is the world-famous Omak Stampede. Num-erous activities will be taking place during the stampede, that including a motor rodeo, a grand parade, a carnival, a wrangler kids’ night and a kiddies’ parade.

Paige Patrick, the office manager for the Omak Chamber of Commerce, said the rodeo follows Native American tradition and is a lot of fun.

“It is our biggest event in Omak,” she said.
