Come for a family-friendly festival
Mackenzie celebrates its famous namesake, Scottish Canadian explorer Alexander Mackenzie, when it kicks off Alexander Mackenzie Days, to be held June 20 to 22 in conjunction with BC150.

Mackenzie’s tourism marketing co-ordinator, Kerri Borne, said the event will be one of several family-friendly events taking place in the picturesque region.
“On (June) 20th, we’re having a kids’ entertainer come to the community to put on a show,” said Borne, “and on Saturday morning, we’re having a parade. The arts centre puts on KidFest . . . which is hands-on activities for the kids. And we have our heritage picnic with family activities.”
Morfee Mountain Music Festival in August will offer more family-friendly fun.
