Fondly referred to as the City of Champions, Edmonton is a great place for families and couples to explore, as it offers a myriad of entertainment possibilities.

Home to the Edmonton Oilers, the city of Edmonton boasts a fanatical hockey scene that can be found not only at the Rexall Place arena, but at the many pubs and restaurants that are bustling with crowds eager to watch the home team in their pursuit of the Stanley Cup.

The Edmonton Eskimos football club is another fan favourite; the team is known for putting on an exciting show, especially when they are playing their arch-rivals, the Calgary Stampeders.

And if you want to take in some lacrosse action, the Edmonton Rush of the National Lacrosse League will never disappoint their loyal fans.

Other Edmonton attractions: If you are travelling with someone who is not a sports fan, there are still plenty of other things to see and do in Edmonton besides catching a game, including visiting the West Edmonton Mall, which has a little something for everybody. With great shopping opportunities, as well as an amusement park, water park and tons of other activities for kids and adults alike, visitors can easily spend an entire weekend at the mall and not do the same thing twice.

For a cultural experience, check out the Art Gallery of Alberta, which features more than 5,000 works of art. The visual art collection consists of historical and contemporary paintings, sculptures, installation works and photographs by both Canadian and international artists.

And RVers will want to keep their eyes open for festivals and events while visiting Edmonton, as the city is known for its plentiful and elaborate celebrations.
