Sharing a passion

What is a Bolerama? It is a gathering of small fibreglass trailers, such as Bolers, Trilliums, Surfsides, Bigfoots, Beachcombers, etc. Recently, such an event happened in southwest Saskatchewan.

Friends, Family & Fun: The Second Annual Prairie Bolerama event attracts small trailer owners from all of the Western provinces.

From July 25 to 27, 2003, The Second Annual Prairie Bolerama was held at the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, just south of Maple Creek. Thirty—six of these recreational units converged within the Hidden Valley and Shady Nook group campgrounds.

This annual event attracts small trailer owners from all of the Western provinces. In recent years, these small trailers have become popular again. They are considered quite collectible, and a lot of work has gone into restoring some of them.

These events are a great way for small trailer owners to view other trailers, have questions answered, and just to meet some new friends. This year’s event doubled in size from last year, and look for next year to be bigger and better.

The 2004 event has been booked and will be held July 23 to 25, 2004, at the Comfort Plus Campground in White City, Saskatchewan, just east of Regina.
