If you have ever wanted to experience seeing an orca in the wild, this is the place to visit. There are marine tours that will take you out to sea and provide the opportunity for you to watch whales, porpoises, dolphins, seals and otters at play.
Marine life isn’t the only wildlife to see in this area. A short boat tour to Knight Inlet on the mainland affords the chance to watch grizzly bears, black bears, bald eagles and other majestic creatures. The bears like to frequent the shoreline, as it provides a rich buffet of seaweed, sedge grasses, shellfish and salmon. This tour is a great day trip, and participants can enjoy viewing the wildlife from the safety and comfort of the boat.
The Telegraph Cove area is also a wonderful place for kayaking, saltwater and freshwater fishing, and discovering First Nations culture and local art. The region is an ideal destination for the whole family; there is something for everyone to enjoy.
