The Fraser River affords the opportunity for avid anglers to spend a riveting day fishing. Catch-and-release fishermen will be pleased to know that Mission is a premier spot for hooking huge sturgeon.

Among other activities and events, Nancy Doerkson, the visitor service co-ordinator for the Mission Chamber of Commerce, said there is always lots going on in Mission; music festivals are among the highlights.

“We have the Mission Folk Fest, which is a music event from all around the world from July 25 to 27,” she said. “We are also going to have a big music event on August 16, which is called Rockin’ on the River.”
