Saskatchewan’s natural beauty and clean air make camping in a Provincial Park a refreshing experience. With a multitude of campgrounds to choose from escaping the crowds and finding your own family sanctuary is easy. Camping in a Saskatchewan Provincial Park can be tailor-made to suit your interests.

Choose a full service campsite or electric or non-electric sites, most with access to a service centre. Or, if a quieter, more wilderness getaway is what you’re looking for, head for a spot in the backcountry for a more secluded trip.

Saskatchewan’s 34 provincial parks and recreation sites offer a wide range of camping experiences to choose from. All of the primary campgrounds offer service centres with free bathroom and shower facilities, and most offer laundry facilities and playground areas. Fresh drinking water, fire pits, fire wood and picnic tables are available at all Provincial Parks.

And don’t forget about the myriad of privately owned campground and resorts found throughout the province. They too can cater to your every need and provide your whole family with an enjoyable camping experience. With more than 400 campgrounds to choose from, escaping the rat race and finding peace of mind is easy. You’ll have all the comforts of home with all of nature at your doorstep. Once you settle-in, you will not want to leave.

So pack up the camper, round-up the kids, head for your nearest Saskatchewan provincial park and put the quality back in “quality” family time.

      Where history goes underground

Moose Javians have been told the stories of tunnels under the city for decades. Their purposes have been argued and disputed with many an old-timer claiming to have the “real scoop.” Only a few tunnels are known to remain. Now, the stories of tunnels under Moose Jaw come alive in two interactive theatrical tours. Guests become part of the underground experience, travelling beneath the streets of Moose Jaw. History has never been more exciting. Each 50-minute tour features state of the art animatronics characters, a multi-media presentation, fabulous spaces, character tour guides and intimate group sizes.

      Watrous, SK

      Land of the healing waters

Two great communities—one fantastic travel destination. Everything you could want, you can find here without the hustle and bustle of large urban centres. Nestled in the valley just a five-minute drive from Watrous is Saskatchewan's best kept secret, Little Manitou Lake—the only natural saltwater lake. Fed by underground springs, the shallow saline lake lies deep in a glacial-carved valley. The minerals in the water are therapeutic in a variety of ways. Soaking in Manitou Lake can help relieve pressure from muscles and joints, cleanse and heal the skin, relieve stress and generally work in a holistic way to heal the body.
