With outdoor recreation literally at your doorstep in Gold Beach, many companies have created fun tours geared towards visitors, such as whale watching and jet boat tours.
Elyse Power, the executive director of the Gold Beach Chamber of Commerce, said the region has plenty of rewarding activities to do; she enjoys going hiking, as the trails around Gold Beach are fabulous.
“We have some beautiful coastal and river trails,” said Power. “I like Samuel Boardman State Park, which is along the coast; they just have miles and miles of beautiful trails, gorgeous vistas and lookouts where you can see all of the natural treasures of the area.”
Power said there is a friendly, laid-back atmosphere in Gold Beach, which allows visitors to really kick back and relax.
