February 2008 | Welcome to the RVwest eNewsletter
RVwest.com is currently being redesigned and today we launched our new home page. It is visually appealing, easier to read and it loads faster. If you haven't already seen it, go to www.RVwest.com and take a look around. With that said, here is your monthly electronic newsletter. This month, we feature an article about winter camping on B.C.'s Vancouver Island as well as the story of one couple who have found a way to run a business while travelling in their RV. We also took an inside the industry look at the makers of the Outback fiberglass travel trailer—today's version of the ever-popular Boler trailer of the 1970s. And we have some contests to enter, details about events coming your way and everything else related to the wonderful RV lifestyle.

VANCOUVER ISLAND, BRITISH COLUMBIA
A wonderful experience
In the cold, dark morning, soft flakes of snow floated to the ground as we connected our car to the motorhome. The drive to Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal from our home in Surrey, B.C., was slow. Pockets of ice and slush on the road kept us alert. Our ferry crossing of Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island was rough, but we arrived at Departure Bay in Nanaimo in one hour and 55 minutes. |

EDMONTON, ALBERTA
A festive atmosphere
Talking about Edmonton—the very familiar city that lies just north of his hometown of Leduc—was decidedly less exciting for this intrepid traveller—until, that is, he got warmed up to the subject and realized how much there actually is to do for someone who has never seen the city’s attractions before. |
NEVADA
City and scenery
The state of Nevada provided the perfect introduction to snowbirding for this couple from Calgary, Alberta. |
