“There were approximately 60 exhibitors, (including) several large RV dealers with everything from tent trailers to the large Class A motorhomes. Fraserway RV also had stuff from their parts store. I always like to see what sort of gadgets people like to buy for their RVs. Then I know what sort of stuff to order from our suppliers. Watkins and Tupperware were also there. A couple of investment/financial planning companies (Investors Group and Edward Jones) were there as well. Several resorts with RV lots for sale had exhibits as well.

“We got there around 11 a.m.—it was starting to fill up with people and by the time we left at 4 p.m. it was pretty full. We also attended a couple of seminars. The first one was on de-winterizing your RV and getting it ready for the road and the second one was Brian Brawdy of The Green RV. Check out www.brianbrawdy.com.”

Brenda and Boyd enjoyed many demos and treats at the show.

“The Swiss-style nuts were good and we ended up buying some maple walnut fudge,” said Brenda. “Sadly it is now all gone. The ShamWow guy won us over with his demonstration of their shammie and we ended up buying one and got a second one for free. The thing that I found very interesting was the Rhythm Touch low frequency therapy. Rhythm Touch has been designed to stimulate muscles and help massage, relax and strengthen muscles. I woke up this morning with a stiff shoulder and could barely move, (but) after 10 minutes of massage it felt much better. I am going back tomorrow to get one.

“The prices for RVs at the show were lower than normal and, as an added incentive, anybody who purchased an RV at the show was entered into a draw to win $5,000. There was also a 2009 Trail Lite Crossover trailer for a door prize. The trailer featured two kitchens—one inside and one outside. It is valued at $23,385.”

Brenda said that they enjoyed their time at the show. She reports that despite the long busy days with many interesting things to view, she retained her strength for a bit of after-show shoe shopping.
