If you find yourself in the Lower Mainland of B.C. this fall, make sure to stop by Fort Langley on October 6 to take part in the annual Cranberry Festival.
The streets of this historic village will be filled with vendors of all sorts celebrating the delicious cranberries grown in the region. With activities for kids of all ages, the whole family will find something to pique their interest at the event.
Festival-goers can enjoy a scrumptious pancake breakfast, purchase cranberry products and watch the canoe regatta. If you fancy finding out where the cranberries come from, you can take a field tour. Be sure to pick up some of the celebrated berries to take home with you.
Horse lovers interested in seeing some of the world’s top equestrians will want to head to the Thunderbird Show Park for the International Horse Show held October 4 to 7.
Equestrians from all disciplines will be participating in events such as western, dressage and show jumping. While the feature performances are scheduled for the Saturday evening, other events will be held throughout the weekend. Visitors will be able to take in the show from the new grandstands or ringside at a private, catered table. Anyone with a love of horses is sure to enjoy themselves at this show.
