The TripAdvisor website has announced the results of its 2008 Traveller’s Choice Destinations Awards and the winner is Banff, rated Canada’s #1 destination. Awarded through the unbiased opinions of millions of travellers who visit the site, Banff is known for its reputation to enthrall visitors.

Winners are determined by a combination of TripAdvisor’s Popularity Index and traveller ratings. The Popularity Index is a well-defined decision matrix that determines traveller satisfaction based on hotel reviews, travel articles and opinions found throughout the web.
