When you store start with STA-BIL
STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer is specially formulated to keep fuel fresh for quick, easy starts after storage. Normally, stored fuel can go bad in as little as 60 days, causing varnish deposits and corrosion to build up in engines; however, with STA-BIL's blend of scientific additives, fuel will stay fresh for up to two years (using twice the recommended dosage). Coghlan’s, a leading manufacturer of camping and outdoor accessories, has designed a lantern that weighs less than an ounce and can fit into the palm of a hand.
Equipped with a Nichia™ 5 mm LED light and powered by two lithium batteries, the LED Micro Lantern lights two metres in diameter and will shine continuously for 25 hours. It is water resistant and comes with a carabiner clip that can be attached to clothing and gear. In addition to nighttime hiking, lighting up the campsite and before-bed reading, the lantern can be used in emergency situations—it has a strobe feature that will flash for up to 50 hours.
All-around lubricant and water repellent
A winning formula
Although it’s been around for the last 50 years in Canada, some people may never even have heard of a product called Jig-A-Loo.
This invisible lubricant and water repellent is silicone-based and has hundreds of applications. As a lubricant, it can be used on squeaky doors inside your RV, hood and truck hinges and seized nuts and bolts, as well as jacks and hand-operated window cranks; as a repellent, Jig-A-Loo is designed to prevent doors, locks and windshield washer nozzles from freezing. It also protects lug nuts, screws and ball joints from the effects of rust. Unlike most lubricants, Jig-A-Loo contains no oil, grease, wax or detergent and it can be applied to a variety of surfaces.
Jig-A-Loo retails for approximately $7 and is now available in the U.S., too.
