Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, the nation’s second largest franchise campground network, said its second quarter revenue was up 11.9 percent, while year-to-date revenue jumped 15.5 percent, compared to the last year’s figures.

“These increases are important because they show significant growth over our 2017 figures, which set previous company records. So we are well on track to set all time revenue and occupancy highs for Jellystone Parks across the U.S. and Canada,” said Kelly Jones, vice president of operations for Leisure Systems, Inc., which franchises Jellystone Parks across North America.

While overall revenues for 83 parks, including new parks in the Jellystone Park system, were up 16.4% percent through June, same park revenues were up 15.5 percent. Rental accommodation revenues were up 10 percent while campground store revenues were up 16.3 percent. Ancillary revenues, such as revenues from special activities, rental equipment and day use fees, were up 5.4 percent.

National media outlets increasingly list Jellystone Parks as a top family camping destination. Reader’s Digest recently highlighted the Jellystone Park in Burleson, Texas on its list of the “Best Parks in Every State,” while MSN recently included seven Jellystone Park locations on its list of “35 Amazing RV Parks Where No RV is Required.”

Reflecting its strong growth, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts appears for the first time on Franchise Business Review’s Top 200 list of award-winning franchise opportunities. The company has also moved up 207 slots to No. 265 on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 list for 2018.

Capitalizing on its success in the family campground business, Leisure Systems is actively expanding the Jellystone Park network. Additional Jellystone Parks will open before the end of the calendar.

Campground operators and entrepreneurs who are interested in owning and operating a Jellystone Park are invited to attend the company’s Prospective Owner’s Workshop, which takes place September 15-16. Details can be found at www.jellystonefranchise.com/workshop.
